I’ll climb the highest hill
pay the largest bill
satisfy your wildest urges
give the biggest thrill
But one task is a curse
no, nothing could be worse
don’t forsake me, please don’t make me
hold your purse
I’ll do chores, take out the trash
throw a gala birthday bash
I’ll lemon-ads you, serenade you
promise, . . . won’t be brash
but one thing skins the cat
anything but that
please don’t make me hold your purse
It ain’t that I ain’t sentimental
It isn’t that I haven’t any class
I don’t think I’m being temperamental
but when I hold that thing I feel like such a . . .
(well you know . . .)
We can play “I’ve got-chef nose!”
You can make me fight your foes
I’ll wash your toes and give you roses
peel your grapes, or wear your clothes
Just one thing I hate to do
tho i’d still do it for you
Please don’t make me hold your purse
But one curse is a task
please don’t ever ask
Baby . . . don’t make me hold your purse.
(It just doesn’t work with the rest of the ensemble . . .)

Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
This is one of the best interpretations I've heard of Genesis music, Pete would have made an excellent replacement vocalist for the band itself, he has a lovely feel for the songs, and a perfect voice for the material Colman Jones
